ICM 48238 Ju 88C-6 WWII German Heavy Fighter 1:48 Scale Model Kit
In the 1930s, a high-speed bomber concept emerged, surpassing existing fighters. The Ju 88, designed by German company Junkers Flugzeug – und Motorenwerke AG, was a twin-engine bomber that exemplified this idea. In 1941, the Ju 88A-4, equipped with more powerful Jumo 211J engines and armament, went into production. A later version, the Ju 88C-6, introduced a single MG FF cannon and three MG 17 machine guns in its opaque nose, along with two MG FFs in the central gondola. These heavy fighters were used extensively in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Eastern fronts from 1942 to 1943.
